The annual NPPWC is held on the first weekend of September and is sponsored by the community of Nimbin. Thanks to all the volunteer support the event is growing in size and reputation each season. After the Saturday heats and Sunday semi-finals, eight finalists perform at the Nimbin Town Hall for the Grand Final Prize on Sunday night. An exciting annual event showcasing unbelievable and exceptional wordsmith talent from wide and far. Since the first NPPWC in 2003, hundreds of performers have entered the annual event and displayed their talent to an appreciative audience. Poets have eight minutes to perform one or more poems. This is a hugely popular Nimbin event not to be missed. Treat yourself and enjoy poetry at its best during an entire weekend of brilliant performance.
